Andie of “American Felt and Craft” love felt and thinks it is one of the best fibers to work with created this tutorial for us “Peek–a–Boo Bill– Felt Pop Up Groundhog Puppet Tutorial” and he is a cutie. The felt groundhog puppet also has a shadow friend. Groundhog’s Day is February 2nd and if the groundhog sees his shadow it means six more weeks of winter. The step by step tutorial for these two is up on American Felt and Craft ‘The Blog’. Fun fact: Groundhogs are also called woodchucks, whistle-pigs, or in some areas land-beavers and do not in fact chuck wood. I want to thank Andie for her tutorial and the fun facts. Gees I sure hope he does not see his shadow, enough winter please. Be sure you check out her shop “American Felt And Crafts” for all your felting needs.
