“Fennec fox stuffies” from Alice of “Future Girl” draws her design and then cuts the felt following her sketch. Alice said sewing those shapes on is not easy. You want them to be in exactly the right place, but it’s hard to do if you try sewing on one piece at a time. And, with such tiny bits, using pins to hold down your parts can cause bunching and skewing that would leave your fox looking wonky-eyed. She suggests that you baste the shapes into place with one or two long, loose stitches. Once you have everything where you want it and you like what you see, you can start sewing everything permanently into place. This is a good lesson when sewing felt piece on any face. Thanks Alice!
