This is the cutest tutorial on how to make and felt a Jellyfishen.  The pattern is free and well as the felting instructions.  Stephen says: This felted jellyfish pattern was inspired by too many SpongeBob episodes and my insatiable need to felt high-end yarns.  The pattern is fun, easy, and fast.  You can make a jellyfish in just a few hours.  It is a great project for that skein of Point 5 that you just bought because it was pretty.
Check out is project and think of a Christmas tree filled with Jellyfishens, what fun.  I am sure you can make them smaller and use any felting yarn.

Leah is such a diverse fiber artist that I could write several articles covering this gifted lady.   Today I’d like to introduce you to Leah’s the stunning wet felt flower kits. Now you will be able to create the same amazing flowers that Leah does. She is carrying them in her ETSY shop called “Spider Felt” for you to purchase for yourself or for a gift for someone who likes to try a new craft.  With the instructions and materials included in this kit, you will make three flowers and stems using wet felting techniques. You are able to choose from one of eight color ways (clockwise from top left): violet, begonia, tulip, poppy, pansy, hydrangea, geranium, rose.
Materials provided: 1.5 oz of merino, 12″ square of tulle, 12″ square of bubble-wrap, instructions with photos, link to online photo tutorial. Following is a little about how Leah developed these amazing kits. 

After months and months in development, testing, trials, comments and revisions, I’ve finally finished a Wet Felt Flower Kit. Materials included in this kit are sufficient to create three large flowers with stems: 1.5 oz merino, 12? square of tulle and 12? square of bubble wrap, photo instructions and an online photo tutorial. Thank you to the kit testers who helped enormously in the refining stages of this kit. My hat tips as I do a deep curtsy to Lora Shinn for the gorgeous photos she took on a very grey day in March. This kit will is now for sale in my ETSY shop; for crafters who have materials on hand, the tutorial is available for purchase as a PDF.

Nikola went to the farm to see the animals up close, but she so a group of women making fuzzy hats and poking crazy needles into the fluffy pieces of fiber. She relates that she almost knocked everyone over to get a closer look at the women and what they were making. From that time she was hooked on felting. She was fascinated with all the things you could make with wool fiber hot water and a little soap. Poke it with needles and within minutes you have a wonderful piece of art. Well it was almost enough to make her want to devote her life to exploring felt. She had always been part of the Indie-crafts movement, but into more traditional crafting until she discovered that you could make felt items with a funky urban twist that would knock people socks off. Now Nikola and co-author Brookelynn Morris invite us into their magical world of felting with their new book that will be released in a few days. The name of this book is “Feltique”. They have pictured magnificent projects for us to try in this wonderful book. The illustrations are beautiful as is the entire hard covered book. Each project is laid out for us so we can easily understand and follow the instructions. They also have a vast array of projects using felt in several different ways.  Such as; Wet felting, a process involving heat, moisture, and agitation, requires only a little soap, hot water, and elbow grease. Needle felting, in which you turn wool fiber into needle felt by merely pricking it with a felting needle, is like sculpting with wool. Fulling, the process of knitting or crocheting a garment and then agitating it in hot water and soap, creates a strong, durable wool fabric. There are also some projects using commercial felt that you’ll want to try such is the stunning necklace featured on the cover of their book.  You will be surprised as to what you can actually make with felt. Like gorgeous thirsty coasters or flower trimmed hat. There is a pattern for a pillbox hat in this book that you will definitely want to try, I know I will.
