Felted Stones and Wet Felted Beads, Free Pictorial Tutorial

January 18, 2009 by Linda Lanese

I’m sure you’ve seen the felted rocks or stones around the Internet if you’re into felting. I have tried them on different occasions using a wool batting and then needle felting over the batting. This Liz’s tutorial shows you how to felt right over the stone. I did one over a shiny pebble and left one piece of it sticking out, something similar to a comfort and worry stone. This is a fun felting project for any of us. You can use different colors and mix it up with some different colored veining.  Please check out Liz’s blog and shop and tell her you found her on Craft Gossip Felting. Madeinlowell’s Profile is a must read in her ETSY shop.  Her other tutorial is on making wet felted beads.  Thanks Liz!

I found this tutorial on Liz’s, the “Mill Girl” blog.  Liz is an artist, a Massachusetts native now living in the lovely historical mill town of Lowell. She makes a myriad thing which she sells in her Etsy shop “Made in Lowell”.  Liz will be APPEARING LIVE ON 02/07/2009 Western Avenue Studios Open Studios, Lowell, MA 12pm-5pm
