The Winner of Rachel’s Think Outside the Box Personalized Heart Contest

February 15, 2009 by Linda Lanese

Rachel picked a winner!  I want to thank Rachel for holding this contest on Craft Gossip Felting.  She is a warm and lovely person and I am sure that our winner will be thrilled. Be sure to continue to check out Rachel’s Think Outside the Box Shop on ETSY and on Flickr.  Every day she has something new and stunning to show us.   Following is the message from Rachel.

I thank you for entering and everyone who left a comment on this contest. Because there were so many heartfelt comments left, there was no way I would have been able to determine a winner based solely on that. So it was most fair to everyone who participated to use random.org. I will definitely participate in another giveaway in the future! The list is below.

Random.org was used to generate the winner of the heart giveaway. There were 17 comments(entries) for the contest. The winner was determined by entering #’s 1-17 into a list and then having Random.org choose the numbers in random order. The 1st # chosen was # 12. Comment #12 belongs to Betty Bifano. Below you will find the copy/pasted list with time/date stamp as well.

Warn Regards, Rachel of Think Outside the Box

    Dear Rachel,
I’m so excited to have won your contest. You offered me anything I wanted in your wonderful collection as my prize. I choose the Mickey Mouse Red Felt Plush Heart With The Needle Felted Waldorf Baby because I know my grandchildren will love it as much as I do. Thanks to Linda Lanese, who is the Felting Blog Editor, and my good friend who keep me up to date with all these beautiful projects. Since my birthday is in a week I feel this is an early birthday present.
    Sincerely,
    Betty Bifano

    Oh Betty,
This prize could not have gone to anyone more sweet than you! I have really enjoyed sharing emails with you to create your special gift. I am eagerly awaiting its completion as much as you are. We have decided to let me use my crafting abilities coupled with some of your favorite colors and inspirations to create this special giveaway for you (with a little extra something special for both of your grandchildren..so as not to leave anyone out). I will be sure to upload pictures to both my flickr account and to your email (and Linda’s) when the heart and needle felted babies are done and ready to ship…I truly thank you for your special comment in the contest and for your continued support in the creation of this gift..you truly are very special and filled with such enthusiasm that it makes what I do that much more a pleasure. By the way..a very happy birthday to you as well!
Thank you so very much to you, to Linda and to everyone who took their time to participate in this contest. It was so much fun reading everyone’s comments and opinions on my works..so much so that I will definitely hold another giveaway whenever Linda will have me back here!
