Felted Rock Tutorial by Derek & Lauren @ Design Sponge

February 20, 2009 by Linda Lanese

Derek & Lauren of Design Sponge, have put together this fun tutorial on how to create a felted rock! Personally, I love the felted rocks and you and I have seen many different methods of creating rocks and pebbles out of felt.  I’ve seen these felted right over a rock or stone and this may be a good method, this would be determined by how you wish to use the felted rock.. The tutorial that Derek & Lauren put together for us is all roving. If there is no snow on the ground where you live maybe you could go out and pick up some rocks and study their designs.  This method could also be used to make eggs for the upcoming Easter holiday. How cute would several eggs and bright colors be in a pretty basket at Easter? All you need for this project is some wool roving in the colors you desire.
