Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Yarn Sale

April 30, 2009 by Linda Lanese

knitpick  5420103

Knit Picks is having an awesome sale on your favorite felting yarns “Wool of the Andes”.  The colors are stunning and I have used this yarn and it felts perfectly.   The pricing is from $1.99 to $2.19 a ball.

Content: 100% Peruvian Highland Wool
Weight: Worsted Weight
Gauge: 4.5 – 5 sts = 1″ on #6 – 9 needles (4.0mm-5.5mm)
Amount: 110 yards/50 gram ball

So what are you waiting for, get over to Knit Picks and stock up!

Their classic worsted wool yarn is spun and plied carefully to achieve a wonderfully balanced twist. A sturdy yet soft yarn with excellent stitch definition and heirloom durability. Peruvian sheep are a cross between Corriedale (for the sturdiness) and Merino (for the softness), producing a strong fiber with an excellent softness quotient for a wide variety of uses. Felts beautifully!
