Another fabulous giveaway! Josh, of eknittingneedles.com is offering a complete set of knitting needles or crochet hooks, “you pick and choose” and one skein of any color of the new yarn they are now carrying. I bought a few sets and I am so impressed with these needles and hooks and the great pricing and quality. I have been using their needles for over a month now and my experience with these needles is A++++! This is a chance of a lifetime to have every size needle or crochet hooks you need at your fingertips.

eknittingneedles.com not only sells knitting needles but also beautiful bamboo crochet hooks in a large variety of sizes.  Bamboo is my needle of choice, because the yarns do not slip and they become better and better with age when it builds up that wonderful patina that comes from use. Handling something as natural as bamboo just feels good in your fingers. Just think of all the gorgeous knitted felts you can make with these wonderful knitting needles.

They are now carrying yarns and the winner will be getting a skein to try. I thank Josh of eknittingneedles.com for his amazing generosity.  An added bonus is that you get free shipping on orders over $15 and what could be better than this!  They also accept PayPal and credit cards and they also take checks and money orders.

For this giveaway, go over to eknittingneedles.com and check out the needles, crochet hooks and their new yarn, the folks at eknittingneedles.com are very interested in what types of yarns you would like to see them carry, so here is your chance to get in on the ground floor and have a shop that carries the type of yarns you love at great prices. Then come back here and in the comment area type what type of yarns you would like to see them carry, not brands, but types.  YOU must enter here not at eknittingneedles.com!  This giveaway will run from June 23, 2009 through July 7th 2009.   Good luck to everyone!

I’d like to see some hand dyed wools and some bamboo yarns would be awesome.

I love Bamboo and Alpaca! This is an awesome giveaway.

Another vote for Bamboo! DK to worsted weights, lots of colours.

  5. inkoutloud says

    June 23, 2009 at 1:14 pm

A basic merino worsted in a variety of colors would be great!

  6. Mm says

    June 23, 2009 at 1:36 pm

bamboo would be nice as long as it FSC certified, otherwise, I wouldn’t touch it. Other “green” fibers and natural wools would be awesome!!

  7. Rachel HB says

    June 23, 2009 at 1:47 pm

I love a nice hand-dyed/kettle-dyed wool in a single ply, heavy worsted weight.

  8. Rachel O says

    June 23, 2009 at 1:49 pm

I love bamboo yarn – so silky. I prefer worsted weight.

  9. lauria says

    June 23, 2009 at 2:03 pm

I love that they have 3mm crochet hooks in bamboo! They’re so hard to find!

  10. Karen Clothier says

    June 23, 2009 at 2:05 pm

I would like to see a Bulky weight wool yarn that resembles roving with very little twist to it!

  11. lauria says

    June 23, 2009 at 2:11 pm

Oh crap. I got so excited about the hooks, I forgot to add what kind of yarn I’d like to see! I’d love to see silk blends. I had a silk blended with alpaca yarn that was lovely. I’d love to see silk blended with other things, too!

  12. Macy says

    June 23, 2009 at 2:24 pm

Beautiful! I’ve never seen a crochet bamboo hook! I would love to see bamboo yarns 🙂

  13. Lynn says

    June 23, 2009 at 3:02 pm

I was llooking at an alpaca, angora, silk blend the other day. Would love to see super soft stuff like that!

  14. Christel says

    June 23, 2009 at 4:12 pm

I’d love to see some 100% cotton yarns. The bamboo is also a great idea, and maybe bamboo/cotton mixes.

Maybe some hand-dyed yarns (in wool or any other fiber) in bright colors would be nice too 🙂

  15. Rabid says

    June 23, 2009 at 4:48 pm

Nice! I might pick up some of those needles to try this week 😀

I’m currently hoarding sock yarn (fingering weight), but I also love bamboo 😀

  16. Jan says

    June 23, 2009 at 5:28 pm

I have to agree with the others….Bamboo yarn in worsted weight to go along with some Bamboo crochet hooks!

  17. Andrea says

    June 23, 2009 at 6:03 pm

Those hooks looks delicious. And there’s even a 4.5mm! I would love to see some bamboo and/or cotton yarns for the warmer weather. Thanks for the link to the site.

  18. Carmen says

    June 23, 2009 at 6:09 pm

Some smaller weight bamboo (fingering or sport).

  19. Kim says

    June 23, 2009 at 6:45 pm

I’d love to see some bulky weight cotton and cotton blends.

  20. Knitting Fool says

    June 23, 2009 at 6:58 pm

I love alpaca. My favorite weights are either worsted or fingering.

  21. Mujercita says

    June 23, 2009 at 7:00 pm

The baby alpaca yarn is very exciting, but they could definitely use more variety. I’d love to see some worsted weight wool, for winter sweaters- I’d also love to see some DK or sport weight cotton or bamboo blends for summer knits. Sock yarn would be great also, especially something washable- my favorites are a superwash wool/nylon blend.

  22. Knitterella Purl says

    June 23, 2009 at 7:30 pm

Any bamboo yarn and any kind of sock yarn would be great! Also, more of a variety in color and dye-style (variegated, solid, etc.) would be nice.

  23. Raelena says

    June 23, 2009 at 9:03 pm

    Bamboo would be nice

  24. Gladys says

    June 23, 2009 at 9:48 pm

I’m looking for a yarn to make Sylvi, from the Twist Collective, and having trouble finding the perfect bulky yarn. I’d like a bulky wool/silk blend, so that it’s not as scratchy as the original yarn the pattern was knit in, and not as pill-prone as the soft merino wools can be.

  25. pam says

    June 23, 2009 at 10:22 pm

I’d like to see some alpaca wools in natural hues of greys and browns…possibly mixed with soft bamboo fibers as well…to create ‘bambwool’!

  26. Kenyetta says

    June 23, 2009 at 10:27 pm

    Sock yarns

  27. Orin says

    June 23, 2009 at 10:36 pm

I’d love to see silk blends, myself. Also anything with just a little bit of sheen to it so it shimmers ever so slightly. (I’ve found that works with “satin yarn” very well.)

  28. Josie says

    June 23, 2009 at 10:53 pm

More bamboo in dk-weight and worsted weight.

  29. Roz (AmIAKnitterYet) says

always looking for new sock yarns. I do like the look of those needles…

  30. dorothy l says

I would love to see some type of recycled fabric yarn con5459(at)gmail(dot)com

  31. Shelly says

    June 24, 2009 at 6:48 am

Maybe I’m boring, but I’d love some nice, soft, 100% wool, feltable, and at a great price.

  32. SANDRA MAIN says

    June 24, 2009 at 6:51 am

    EVERYONE SHOULD GO BAMBOO

  33. Bejeweled says

    June 24, 2009 at 6:52 am

I’d love to see a high-quality, soft bulky yarn. Something sophisticated, not rugged.

  34. Bettina Groh says

    June 24, 2009 at 6:56 am

My daughter is just learning to knit and keeps “borrowing” my needles some of which are hand-me-downs from her two grandmothers. I’d like to win these for her! Maybe I’ll get mine back?!
As what I’d like to see… feltable yarns

ps… love bamboo needles! So slick and light weight

  35. Mimi says

    June 24, 2009 at 8:10 am

Bamboo would be awesome to match with bamboo needles: a perfect match!

  36. Margie says

    June 24, 2009 at 8:58 am

Since it’s Summer, my hunt for the perfect cotton blend continues so this is the yarn I’d like to see included. And for the Winter? Some rustic wool yarns…yum!!

Thanks so much for a second chance at winning these fabulous needles!

  37. JuliaA says

    June 24, 2009 at 9:42 am

alpaca/silk or alpaca/tencel (or both)…i love the drape and sheen of those sort of fibers combined with the warmth of alpaca. weights from sock to worsted seem most popular.

  38. Deanna says

    June 24, 2009 at 10:06 am

Would love some merino wool, worsted weight, in solid fun colors!

  39. Natasha Redel says

    June 24, 2009 at 10:21 am

I am all about lace right now, and would love to have inexpensive choices in laceweight yarns. Where I live has NOTHING, and I would be willing to order yarn on the net where the shipping cost is that low!

  40. Whitney says

    June 24, 2009 at 10:44 am

Oh I would love to win these needles! I love the baby alpaca yarn you have pictured, would like to see different weights offered. Beautiful colours!

  41. Jersey Jessie says

    June 24, 2009 at 11:04 am

I love alpaca, but would also love to try a silk or silk blend (although not sari silk – I have knit with that and found it hard on my lungs. I felt like I was inhaling bits of the silk when I breathed).

My favorite weight is worsted weight.

The needles look and sound wonderful

  42. ikkinlala says

    June 24, 2009 at 11:16 am

I’d love to see organic wool in lighter (fingering or sport) weights. I’m also interested in linen.

  43. DeeAnn S says

    June 24, 2009 at 11:34 am

I’d love to have a set of bamboo circular needles! And maybe solid colors of alpaca yarns.

  44. Gina K says

    June 24, 2009 at 12:32 pm

How ironic…I just ordered some circular knitting needles from eKnittingNeedles.com two days ago! Found them by Googling a specific size & type of knitting needle I needed for a gift for someone! I love their site!
I don’t knit, but since they have crochet hooks and yarn, I did bookmark the site.
Anyways…I love the alpaca yarns, but I would love to try the bamboo yarns everyone is talking about…never tried it before!

  45. MelodyJ says

    June 24, 2009 at 12:40 pm

I would like to see yarn in different weights more. Also would like more fiber blends.

  46. Tracy says

    June 24, 2009 at 12:48 pm

You can tell we’re all knitting for warm weather–everyone wants bamboo! I’m knitting a pair of wool/bamboo blend socks, and the yarn is delicious. I love for luxury fibers (silk, cashmere, even alpaca) to be blended with a soft merino.

  47. EJ says

    June 24, 2009 at 1:03 pm

For sweaters, I love worsted weight, but lately I have been using hand-dyed sock yarns with solid (fingering) weight for some very interesting sweaters.

I love bamboo, silk, alpaca, merino. I am so spoiled!

  48. Heather K says

    June 24, 2009 at 1:30 pm

I would love to see some bamboo and merino in sock weight or, better yet, lace weight. Yummy@@

  49. Kim R. says

    June 24, 2009 at 3:05 pm

I would like to see cotton, silk/alpaca, and bamboo yarns. I would love to try bamboo knitting needles, only have used metal or plastic.

  50. Turtle says

    June 24, 2009 at 3:16 pm

wow great site (bookmarked them) I lvoe the selection of hooks and needles they have right now and that alpaca is gorgeous! I have been looking for more eco friendly yarns…ones made from fibers harvested from organic sources, or processed from eco friendly items like soy, corn, hemp etc.
