 eknitneedles

Another fabulous giveaway! Josh, of eknittingneedles.com is offering a complete set of bamboo knitting needles or crochet hooks, “you pick and choose”! I now own several sets and I am so impressed with these needles and hooks and the great pricing and quality. I have been using their needles for months now and my experience with these needles is A++++! This is a chance of a lifetime to have every size needle or crochet hooks you need at your fingertips.

eKnittingNeedles.com not only sells knitting needles but also beautiful bamboo crochet hooks in a large variety of sizes.  Bamboo is my needle of choice, because the yarns do not slip and they become better and better with age when it builds up that wonderful patina that comes from use. Handling something as natural as bamboo just feels good in your fingers. Just think of all the gorgeous knitted or crocheted felts you can make with these wonderful knitting needles.

I thank Josh of eknittingneedles.com for his amazing generosity.  An added bonus is that you get free shipping on orders over $15 plus my readers get 10% off any purchase using the following code “FELTING854” now what could be better than this offer!  They also accept PayPal and credit cards and they also take checks and money orders.   For this giveaway, go over to eknittingneedles.com and check out the needles, crochet hooks, Dangle Crochet Hook Collection (12pc Set) and their other amazing products. eKnittingNeedles.com are very interested in just what products you would like them to carry. Then come back here and in the comment area type what your ideas are for them.  YOU must enter here not at eKnittingNeedles.com!  This giveaway will run from August 17th 2009 through August 29th 2009.   Good luck to everyone!

Woo I’d love to win this!

I’d like to see crochet hooks offered in woods other than bamboo.

I’ve never used anything other than aluminum (I’m a beginner) – but I bet it would be heavenly to own some rich wood hooks. Something like mahogany?

    What a great prize!

I see they carry one type of very nice yarn too, so maybe they could carry some bamboo yarn as well.

How about an interchangeable bamboo circular set? I like interchangeables because it reduces the amount of needles I have to have around, and I can store knitting on just the cable if I need to, without using up the needles.

I think that double points in lengths shorter than 6″ are hard to find, as are double points in the larger sizes like 17 and 19. The shorts are nice for socks, and the large DPs are good for chunky sweater sleeves. Also, longer cords on the circulars would be nice for people who like to knit large shawls or afghans.

I would love to win the knitting needles! I have never tried the bamboo yet!

  7. Sheryl says

I agree with the above thought that it would be lovely to have some interchangeable bamboo circulars. Otherwise, all of the items look lovely on the site!

I love visiting your site, I would L O V E to win a set of new needles. I really like the free shipping on orders over $15!

It would be nice for them to have shorter double pointed needles (for knitting socks and other small diameter projects). Thanks!

  10. Kelly says

    August 17, 2009 at 12:45 pm

Wow, it looks like they’ve got so much stuff already! I guess I’d like to see more yarn (if they’re really going to carry yarn) or interchangeable needles.

  11. Sylvia says

    August 17, 2009 at 2:09 pm

Wow would I love to win this! Thanks to both of you for the opportunity.

As a crocheter who knits a bit, I’m always in search of shorter knitting needles. I’ve customed ordered some 6″ ones on ebay– can’t find that seller anymore– and so would love to get more 6″ to 8″ knitting needles.

Also would like to see some designs with “pads”
or thicker than hook-end barrels on the crochet hooks. And would love to have bullion crochet hooks. I have two metal but would love, love, love to have one in every size.

  13. Kelly says

    August 17, 2009 at 3:23 pm

How about patterns for Tunisian crochet? I would love to try something new!

  14. Mary Anne says

    August 17, 2009 at 3:25 pm

Bamboo needles…yum! I have one pair and wish I could knit everything using them. I checked out the site and my suggestion would be some sort(s) of carrying cases for the needles, whereby they could be kept in one place (unless, of course, they’re in use!!). Thanks for the opportunity to win.

  15. Corinne says

    August 17, 2009 at 3:40 pm

I would love to see more variety of the Alpaca yarn. No one around here sells real alpaca yarn. Would love a trusted place to get good quality in a variety of colors 🙂

  16. KayaR says

    August 17, 2009 at 3:53 pm

Bamboo is my tool of choice for knitting but I haven’t tried a bamboo hook before. fun!
    suggestions:
    >Interchangeable sets are big sellers right now, I would definitely experiment with that idea.
    >I saw the dangle hooks and wondered if they couldn’t offer one with a longer cable and second hook at the opposite end. Those are good for color work in afghans.
    >While I love alpaca, bamboo yarn would make more sense for a site catering to the bamboo lover.
    >I didn’t see much info regarding why knitting/crocheting with bamboo is any better than other mediums like: socks have a hard time slipping off bamboo dpns and you don’t have that scratchy metal clicking sound, or the lightweight balance helps to prevent hand/wrist injuries.

    crossing my fingers! 🙂

  17. Turtle says

    August 17, 2009 at 5:06 pm

i also like the interchangeable needles, and prefer wood vs metal. A nice case to hold all thos dpn’s would be sweet as well! so want to try these!

  18. Kim says

    August 17, 2009 at 6:57 pm

This is awesome!! Maybe some kind of carrying case for the needles and maybe some knitting bags that would specially hold multiple sets of needles at one time would be kewl too, that way you could start a number of projects without having to wait 🙂

  19. Carla says

    August 17, 2009 at 7:21 pm

I would love to try bamboo. All of my needles are my grandmother’s old ones – aluminum and almost antique!

  20. Christy says

    August 17, 2009 at 8:27 pm

I have to agree with the call for interchangeable needles. I love that the tubing is color coded, so I hope they come with a chart or something to help you remember which color is which size.

I didn’t notice any larger sized 40″ circulars, which would be great for afghans such.

I’ve never had the chance to try bamboo needles, but I’ve heard fantastic things about them.

  21. Laura says

    August 17, 2009 at 8:52 pm

I’d like to see an interchangeable set of circular bamboo needles.

  22. Ginger says

    August 17, 2009 at 9:27 pm

The prices are awesome! I have some bamboo hooks and needles and I love them. It would be great to increase my collection. The only thing I would like to see at eknittingneedles.com is some carved handled crochet hooks. I’ve always wanted one of those real pretty ones…

  23. Elaine says

    August 17, 2009 at 9:35 pm

I am a beginner knitter I sure could use a set of Knitting needles. So please enter me. I am so confused of what is best to use…Thanks

  24. Patti says

    August 18, 2009 at 4:52 am

The needles look amazing and the prices…WOW! I love knitting with bamboo- I have tried plastic and aluminum but the warmth of the wood just cannot be beat.
How about carrying needle cases so when you get all those fantastic needles you have a safe place to store them?

  25. Cinders says

    August 18, 2009 at 6:03 am

I love what you stock already and only use the bamboo circs and dpns for all my knitting. Interchangeables sound intersting and if you’re going to stock yarn, then more yarn varieties

  26. geri says

    August 18, 2009 at 6:56 am

This is a VERY nice giveaway. these needles are better than metal (get cold) and plastic (smaller points bend).

  27. Debbie says

    August 18, 2009 at 8:00 am

I think that double points in lengths shorter than 6? are hard to find and it would be wonderful if they carried them. I love bamboo needles for knitting, although I have not tried them for crocheting to date. Knitting you need the bamboo for the slippery fibers to keep them in place with the resistance, I don’t find that need with crocheting.

  28. Sara says

    August 18, 2009 at 8:07 am

Oh, I’ve wanted to get a set of bamboo crochet hooks for a while now. Those look lovely!

  29. Carolyn says

    August 18, 2009 at 8:46 am

Hi – hope this competition is open internationally as I would love to win! I’m a beginner too so everything on the site looks fabulous and I don’t think I’m qualified to make any suggestions as to additional products they should offer! Thanks 🙂

  30. Margie says

    August 18, 2009 at 9:18 am

Personally, I have a heck of a time finding larger bamboo DPNs (for sleeves, hats, etc)so I’d be thrilled to have a “go-to” site for a variety of sizes above 11.

    Thanks for the contest!

  31. Lisa says

    August 18, 2009 at 9:34 am

I am a crocheter but am just starting to learn knitting so I would love to win the knitting needles! Thanks for doing the giveaway!

I wouldn’t mind seeing some bamboo yarn as I am very interested in trying that!

  32. EJ says

    August 18, 2009 at 9:37 am

I love that they offer full sets at a very reasonable price. I have only tried bamboo once and would love to have a set.

I know that several people have suggested interchangeable sets – they are very convenient if you travel a lot like I do.

Please enter me in your wonderful giveaway – I would love to have some bamboo needles!

I would love to have a set of 16 inch bamboo circulars. Something I would like to see, but haven’t seen yet, is wooden square needles that are circular. I have square metal circulars, but would love to have some (don’t even know if they make them) in wood! Please enter me in your giveaway! Thank You!

I really like knitting socks with bamboo double-pointed needles instead of metal ones, but when I use size 1 or 2, I usually end up breaking a needle or two per pair of finished socks. Is there a size 1 or 2 bamboo needle out there that is somehow ‘reinforced’ to ward of breakage?
thanks for entering me in the contest.

  36. TJ says

    August 18, 2009 at 1:27 pm

I have heard about those square needles but never seen them. Is it possible to make bamboo straight needles like them?

  37. vicky says

    August 18, 2009 at 3:20 pm

Those bamboo needles are probably wonderful, from everything I’ve heard about them. I don’t knit at this time, but I do crochet and I would love to win the set of crochet needles. Thanks for this very nice giveaway.

  38. Shelly R says

Someone gave me a very old pair of wooden knitting needles and they felt soooo soothing in my hands. I would love a set of crochet hooks to share with my volunteer group “The Blankateers” that so generously give their time to make blankets and hats for nursing home and chemo patients in our city. What a nice site you have. Thanks

  39. Denny says

    August 18, 2009 at 4:38 pm

I’ve returned to crocheting and I have only one bamboo hook and I love it! I don’t know enough to know what else might be desirable in crochet hooks, but I’d love to win these bamboo crochet hooks. How generous!

I’d love to get some size 0,1,2 needles for sock and lace knitting. Are the bamboo needles sturdy enough for that?

  42. carmen says

    August 18, 2009 at 6:38 pm

I did love to win the needles. I just baught my first bamboo needle (circular 16″ size 9) late last year for making hats love it, but don’t have any additional suggestions for improvement.

  43. Chia Tsao says

    August 18, 2009 at 7:05 pm

I think that cable needles and needle protectors made of bamboo (points, cases, etc) might be a good addition.
I wish I had found your website sooner!

  44. Jersey Jessie says

    August 18, 2009 at 7:43 pm

I’d love to win a set of bamboo needles. I do have a pair of very expensive Lantern Moon needles that have a pivoting joint. I don’t know whether that would make the prices prohibitive, but they are cool.

I love shorter lengths of DPNs for socks but they are hard to find. I also wish you could get a interchageable set for bamboo. I love bamboo.

I see at least one other Elaine has entered already – all of a sudden there seem to all over the place.

I would love to see a bamboo case that holds each set so that they stay organized.
