Book Giveaway Kaffe Fassett’s Quilt Romance

November 30, 2009 by Linda Lanese

The designs and designers in this book are so spectacular you will want to leave it out just to page through it. I am not a quilter but I am a fiber lover, this stunning book “Kaffe Fassett’s Quilt Romance” was sent to me by the publisher and it is a beauty and I want one of you to have it as a early holiday gift from Craft Gossip Felting, so I am holding a giveaway just for you quilters and fiber lovers. Below are a couple of reviews I got off of Amazon.  To enter this giveaway, simply type “enter me” in the comment section.  This giveaway will run November 30, 2009 through December 11th 2009, Just in time for holiday giving and creating. Good Luck! Check out all the reviews on Amazon!

This is one of his best as he has introduced new artists who have used his fabrics in creative ways. Kim McLean’s work is outstanding and she’s sure to become better known as a result of this book. The other designs showcasing his fabrics are, as always, inspirational. Even non-quilters who appreciate the use of color and design will find the photos delicious eye-candy.

I’ve quilted in “safe” colors for many years. To expand my color sense I’m buying books like Kaffe Fassett’s and WOW! does he ever expand your color sense. All those “wild” colors and patterns come together in his quilts. I was amazed at the emotion some of his quilts invoke. QUILT ROMANCE is absolutely great and inspiring. This book is great way to get out of your quilting rut.

I have this one, its one of the best Kaffe books on quilting to date, but they are all great! I actually found a kit to make the pickle dish quilt on the cover using the exact same fabrics at http://www.sewingparty.com

    Cheers!
