I purchased three wheels from Knitting Iceland’s ETSY shop and when they arrived I was so impressed with their soft beauty I had to try some felting. This is un-spun but if you are very careful it knits or crochets up into a stunning slightly fuzzy item. I crocheted the Pumpkin and Acorn top (pictured) and only had one break and because it is felted the adding in of the yarn does not show. As stated below you get 328 yards in each wheel and the pricing is decent and shipping cost to the USA was not bad. If you would like to try some different type of amazing wool for felting pick up some of this un spun wool, It is lovely. I would think that this wool would be great for needle felting also. Go to Knitting Iceland’s ETSY shop and check it out. Un spun Lopi wheels (plötulopi): 100% new wool. Un spun yarn, sold by weight as a one-ply, flat round roll, called a “plate”. Bundle approx. 2 kg (4.4 lb), plate approx.110g (3.85 oz.). 100 g (3.5 oz) approx. 300 m (328yd).
