I really like this idea of whether to felt a crocheted or knitted item or not to felt. Many times I see patterns that are not felted and I think how cute they would be if they were. if you ever see a project that you would like to felt and you are not sure of what size needles to use; I find it safe to needle up a size or two and using the yarn designated in the pattern. Of course, this would not apply to a sweater or item that has to fit a certain person or item, but something like the pincushion toy animal or doll who would be workable. This pincushion is adorable and resembles spring with its shades of green. Living in the Midwest and enduring this winter we all need something to brighten our spirits. This pattern is available on a blog called knit with KT. With St. Patrick’s Day not too far away the greens in this pincushion could be displayed as part of your Irish theme.
