Felt Elf tutorial, Christmas décor

October 24, 2012 by Linda Lanese

I was just introduced to “Just Crafty Enough” hosted by Kathy and Susi who live some distance from each other and decided to start this blog to craft together and share with us.  They love to craft whether it’s knitting, quilting, cooking, or paper crafts.  They invite crafters all over the world to join. They share projects with step-by-steps on how to do them, free patterns, fun party ideas and favorite things from around the web. From time to time everyone works on a project at the same time, something they like to call a Social. They also flex their crafty chops with the Iron Craft and Project-Project Runway Challenges but they use dolls for their fashions.  Today their craft is this darling little “Iron Craft Challenge #21 – Felt Elf” because Kat kept seeing these little elves in all the stores around Iceland.  Felt is her favorite material to use and decided to try some and they are so cute.  Kat said “I think I’ve got it down pretty good. I didn’t do the embroidery though. The ones I saw in the store were thick felt and hallow inside. I used a Styrofoam ball covered in wool for the body of mine so embroidery would have been tricky” I am including a picture of the ones she saw is Iceland and as you can see you can decorate them as much as you like.  Like the ladies on Facebook and keep up with their projects.
