The weather outside is frightful here in Ohio where we have blizzard warnings and “Hot water bottle cozies” look very inviting to me. This would make a lovely gift for someone’s winter birthday. I love the colors she used; but you can use the colors you love. Julie of “cocoknits” learned to knit while studying German in Salzburg, Austria, close to the Abbey where scenes from “The Sound of Music” were filmed. She enjoys saying she was taught by knitting nuns… even if they weren’t, really. By the time she returned to the United States, she was obsessed with knitting and design and soon founded a small cottage industry. She had knitters in Ireland using English yarn and her original creations were being sold at Nordstrom, Henri Bendel, Mark Shale, and a number of small boutiques across the country. Her main focus, however, has been on teaching knitting and designing for knitters via knitting magazines and yarn company publications. She is sharing her “Hot water bottle cozies” and as pictured above she also has a small baby one to carry in your pocket, too adorable, with a downloadable pattern with us and we thank her.
