How to Make Wool Dryer Balls

January 23, 2013 by Linda Lanese

Dryer BallsDryer Balls Video

I knew nothing about dryer balls until one of my readers mentioned them and linked me up to Green Allure Wool Dryer Balls – the Ultimate Drying Aid.  They tell you all about the reasons to use dryer balls but also show us how to make them with an excellent video that shows you step-by-step how to create your own dryer balls.  And your clothes will dry 20 to 50% faster; so why not try them out you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. We all know that clothes dryers do not do their job perfectly. For one, they will give that unpleasant crunchiness to the clothes and they will increase the number of creases that will make ironing more difficult. In addition to this, and maybe even more importantly, dryers produce static electricity. Static electricity will cause the clothes to cling together and it might even give you a shock.  For these reasons, in the 1960, dryer sheets were developed, a small sheets of material which were treated with fabric softeners. And they truly do seem to do the job done. They prevent static electricity and they provide additional softness to the clothes that would otherwise be too crunchy. Unfortunately, over the years, people discovered the downsides of dryer sheets. For instance, they almost always contain various softeners and other chemicals that make these sheets unsuitable for use with children’s clothes and baby clothes. Furthermore, they can become quite an expense because they can be used only once.

Luckily, today, you can have a perfect alternative to these, something that is 100% natural, that is immeasurably more cost-efficient and actually more efficient than dryer sheets. We are talking about dryer balls, or more precisely, Green Allure Wool Dryer Balls. As the name would suggest, Green Allure Wool Dryer Balls are wool balls that are put in the dryer together with the clothes where they work their magic. If you put a few of these in with the load of clothes, not only will they prevent static electricity from occurring and soften the clothes through physical action, but they will also ensure that the hot air gets more easily and efficiently distributed in the dryer, cutting down the time  necessary for drying by up to 25%.

Green Allure Wool Dryer Balls are also entirely natural, made from the purest and highest quality merino wool that has been treated with nothing but water and natural soap as well as detergent that contains no chemical additives or fragrances. All of this makes the Green Allure Wool Dryer Balls perfect for baby clothes and cloth diapers.
