Sew a little bird from a felted sweater a “the craft circus” (tutorial)

June 10, 2013 by Linda Lanese

little bird2little bird

These birds have so much personality and are created by Sofia of (365slojd) out of Sweden and you may have to translate this page if my translation does not work.  The birds are made of wool together with (homespun, broadcloth or felted wool sweaters) and the beaks are made of timber.  At the bottom, attach the clothespins so it can sit on such a twist, branch, or perhaps on the curtain, or leaving holes for the fingers so that the bird can be used as finger puppet.  You can also download a PDF of the birds and the pattern template.  Enjoy!

Check out these other finger puppet articles we wrote or buy some finger puppets ready-made here.  Put on your very own origami finger puppet show! With this Origami Finger Puppets book by Muneji Fuchimoto.
