December 31, 2013 by Linda Lanese

All of us have a dress that we are tired of or it has a stain that can’t be removed; now here is your inspiration.  Sylvia currently lives in Barcelona (Spain). She always wanted to have a blog but she held back; but today her blog is “Dare to DIY” sporting this amazing dress “DIY dress: Pollock Impulse”!  On her blog you’ll find DIY projects, ideas and techniques that will help you to update your closet with your personal and unique touch. Sylvia has been thinking about this project for so long, and finally she rid herself of all the excuses and fears that pulled her backwards and here are the results with a detailed pictured tutorial!  This DIY I was inspired by Pollock’s artworks! Paul Jackson Pollock (January 28, 1912 – August 11, 1956), known as Jackson Pollock, was an influential American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. He was well known for his unique style of drip painting.  McQueen was a pioneer in leaving aside the commercial part of fashion in order to turn the runway into an ephimeral art show that sought to provoke extreme reactions into his viewers. Watch the video, very inspiring.
