Quiet books are all the rage these days and they are darling and great learning tools. Jocelyn of “The Quit Book Blog” got involved with quiet books at the end of 2011, not too long before her first daughter was born. Thanks to Jocelyn we hit pay dirt with her “Quiet Book Pattern Directory’ with links to 9 “Entire quiet book patterns” and 95 + “Individual page patterns” One of the things that can be most helpful when making your own quiet book is a template.
Templates (or patterns) give you something to work with and can make planning your quiet book and cutting out shapes a lot easier. Jocelyn has a list of free quiet book patterns available online from bloggers around the net and what a great resource for us and thank you Jocelyn for sharing all these wonderful links with us.
Quiet books or busy books are educational books/toys made with age or development-appropriate activities for babies, toddlers and preschool-age children. They are interactive and tactile. These books usually involve a cause-and-effect result as well as visual aids to teach fundamental learning skills. These books also develop hand and eye coordination. You can find more patterns for making Quiet or Busy books here Etsy.
