How to make a sprouting bulb

I am totally fascinated with Mister Finches’ Fiber arts. Today I found his sprouting bulbs and he created a free bulb pattern for Selvedge Magazine. You have to look through his website and see all the amazing things he’s made out of salvaged Materials.  He says he uses velvet or Felt for the green growth appearing out of the bulb. If you make several of these you can place them in a bulb forcing vase (Pictured Above) for spring or as a gift.  He had these on Facebook but you have to go over to selvedge to download the instructions and pattern.  Follow Mister Finch on Facebook!
