How to needle felt animal eyes

June 22, 2015 by Linda Lanese

felted eyes

felted eye2Have you ever asked this question? One of Amanda’s readers asks: “How can I make needle felted eyes look 3D, shiny and realistic and not too cartoon-like?’, I could use glass or plastic eyes but would love to use wool so that my sculpture is totally needle felted- so what do I do?” Amanda of “Fit To Be Loved” blogs out of London and has the answer for you.  She tells us to look at the anatomy of the eye and then pictures of the animal you are felting and give it a try.  She has several animal eyes that she shows us how to create and these are priceless photos. Be sure to check out Some ‘Fit to be loved’ eye felting tips. Thanks so much Amanda for sharing your creativity with us.  TUTORIALS HERE!
