Needle felt with Martha Stewart, a Sweet little Penguin

October 15, 2021 by Liza Adams

How to Make a Needle-Felted Penguin - DiyerClub

Do you have a penguin lover in your house?  I know we do here, and how cute would it be to make a little ice scene with penguins and bears?  This basic little tutorial is over on the Martha Stewart website!  She uses a slide system to work through the project which has nice clear photos and easy techniques for the beginner.

So grab your black and white, your grey and beige or what ever fibre you want to make your little penguin from!

I love the idea of making wee grey babies with their big black and white parents!  You can do a bit of searching for pics of different breeds of penguins and really get the colony going!

Got polystyrene laying around?  This would be a great way to recycle something you would normally have a hard time getting rid of!  Polystyrene makes awesome icebergs and artic scenes!  Have a play with shaving and shaping it to see what you can create!

I’m sure the penguin lover in your life would appreciate a scene for Christmas!

Happy felting!
