Wet Felting a Hurricane Lamp, Free Tutorial!

January 12, 2023 by Liza Adams

Beginner Wet Felting over a Resist Tutorial - Hurricane Candle Holders #livingfelt - YouTube

If you’ve been here for more than 5 minutes you will know we just love the folks over at Living Felt.  Just this week Marie has shared an amazing tutorial that I wanted to highlight for you.  It’s such a great project and it teaches you how to, not only make this lamp cover, but how to wet felt over a resist which you can use for many projects in the future!

Marie shows you step by step how to make this gorgeous, fine piece of felt over a jar or any other vessel/resist.  You will learn how to lay your project out, what different fibres and resists can turn out like and step by step how to work along and come to this great finish with this excellent teacher.

After you have mastered the basics you will realise just how much you can do with this project, check out these inspired ideas I found around cyberspace!
