Pierrot – needle felting machine

August 4, 2007 by Linda Lanese

Pierrot – needle felting machine
Someone suggested an article on the Pierrot – needle felting machine.  I see the price with shipping to the US is AUD $777.50 which is $666.94 USA dollars.   This appears to be a top-of-the-line machine although I did not see any reviews.   If you are buying in another country you would have to convert the AUD amount.  I see that Pierrot is one of our Craft Gossip advertisers and I will add what I have learned outside their web site.Â

There are several machines and needle attachments for many standard sewing machines, but they do warn about lint built up harming a standard machine.  I came across the following site:  Fiberella Tell about Several Felting Machines So if anyone is interested in looking into a machine read everything on this site.

I JUST BOUGHT A BABY LOCK EMBELLISHER FOR 350.00 AND SO FAR IN ABOUT 12 HOURS OF USE i HAVE BROKEN OR BENT AT LEAST 10 NEEDLES WHICH BABY LOCK SELLS FOR 3.60 EACH. A PRETTY PRICY AMOUNT TO SPEND. READ THE ARTICLE MENTIONED ABOVE AND DID FIND SOME HINTS FOR PREVENTING NEEDLE BREAKAGE. IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THE SAME EXPERIENCE??

I believe this machine is sold in the USA as the “Fab Felter” by Nancy’s Notions. Same machine, different brand name. You can purchase it at JoAnn.com for $299
