Five Felted Pumpkin Sitting on a Gate

October 13, 2007 by Linda Lanese

5pumps.jpg

I just had to make The Five Little Pumpkins. These are crocheted, felted, stuffed, wet felted stems and then needle felted. I even made the wire gate and ended up with black sore hands. After suffering for the sake of my craft, I finally put on gloves and that helped. LOL The base is the foam pipe cover the I needle felted some brown roving over. The acorns came from my yard and the fall leaves I borrowed from a wreath. The spider webs are hot glue.

Five Little PumpkinsFive little pumpkins sitting on a gate.

The first one said, “Oh my, it’s getting late.”

The second one said,”There are witches in the air.”

The third one said, “But we don’t care.”

The fourth one said, “Let’s run and run and run!”

The fifth one said, “We’re ready for some fun.”

Then “OOOOOO” went the wind and out went the lights,

And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

    Hey Linda,

These Pumpkins are another winner in my book. I like the way you tell how you make everything 🙂

Oh my gosh, they are so cute! I remember my Mom telling me that poem every Halloween when I was little, and now I do the same for my girls! Beautiful work!

    Hi Linda,
I remember about fourteen years ago when you printed a copy of the “Five Little Pumpkins” for my grandson Joe.
Keep up the good work, the pumpkins are darling! Betty
