Knit and Fused Purses

September 22, 2008 by Linda Lanese

Lorna Miser is never without her yarn. She wrote this book Knit & Fused Purses.  In her book she shares her clever technique of fusing cotton fabric to the inside of her knit purse designs so they don’t stretch out of shape.  Complete knitting and assembly instructions are included.  These bags are not felted but I will felt mine and let you know.

I have not tried is technique yet, but plan on doing so in the near future.  Sometimes it is intimidating to line your knit purses and bags, but Lorna makes it look simple. You can buy book at Erica’s Knitting Books.

Did you try this? If so, how did it work for you? I’m considering purchasing this book as I love creating felted bags but dislike how they stretch….

    Thanks.
