My Home Made Christmas

December 10, 2008 by Linda Lanese

Since Halloween, ever evening I work on something for the holidays that have to do with felting and here are some of my treasures.  The wreath with the girls on came from an idea I saw on CraftBits and I did my own thing with felt, yarn and roving.  The trigs are adorned with the line felted balls I made and the black Christmas tree, yep, you read it right BLACK hold my felted roses in lime of course.  The one snowman is needle felted and the others are knitted and felted.  The angel is felted and knit-felted.  The tiny hats and mittens are knit-felted.  The purse is knitted and felted as is the cuff that has a stone button for the closure.  The little red stocking with the tooth in it was made for my dentist, but he still handed me a bill!  I have many other items but I think I showed enough!  I want you all to look at all the areas on Craft Gossip today because all the editors are showing their handmade Christmas crafts.  If any of you would like to share something you have crafted for a HOME-Made Christmas just send them to me and I will post everyone’s.  You all have a peaceful and joyous holiday and thank you for visiting Craft Gossip!

I am constently surprised by what can be done with felt. And here I thought that it was only used under table lamps! I wonder what her next fabulous designs will be.

Those are really cute. You have made all your decorations for the holidays. That is terrific. I think home made items are so much better for gifts. They are from the heart.

I absolutely LOVE your work! If I were only half as talented and creative! I especially love the little child with the hat and snowsuit. How cute is that!

I think my favorite are the snowmen, I love their litte scarfs and hats. My mother always amazed me with her talent for knitting and crocheting. You also amaze me with your talent for felting!
