Felt heart shaped kitchen mitt tutorial

January 8, 2009 by Linda Lanese

You’ll find a complete pictorial tutorial of the heart-shaped felted kitchen oven mitts, on the Liz’s Felt Café blog. These mitts are not only a practical Valentine gift, but can be dressed up after their wet felted the with some needle felted embellishments. I could use a pair of these in my kitchen with my stainless steel handled pans that I am always burning my hands on when I use them in the oven and take them out using pot holders and them place them on the stove top and forget they are hot.  Follow the links and check out this tutorial and the entire Felt Café blog. Liz has some very interesting projects on her site and also has a shop on ETSY!

Liz’s tells about her blog.

The Felt cafe is the name of my wee felt business, where you can find hand felted wearables and functional objects, hand dyed and handspun yarn, and how to make felt kits. in 2006-2008, I was in Kobe, Japan, and the blog archives from that time are full of crafty explorations in Japan.
