“The Funky Felter” Fibers suppliers list

February 7, 2009 by Linda Lanese

I received SHALANA’s “The Funky Felter” newsletter and I decided to link up her blog because she is offering so much in her posting today about where to buy everything you need for felting. She’s asking you to add your recommendations for felting supplies in her comment area. So head on over to The Funky Felter’s blog and read all about the fiber suppliers she has found.  This is a very useful posting especially for those who want to know where to purchase good quality materials.  It would be a good idea for all of you to sign up for her newsletter because it usually filled with some useful and fun postings.

It seems as if needle felting artists run in the same circles. I believe this to be true simply because the craft is so new. In my experience thus far, needle felters are the sweetest, most helpful and unbelievably selfless and supportive artists I know! The Funky Felter is a member of a felting forum I am associated with and most likely a fellow etsy NFEST team member too! I have enjoyed seeing much of her work over at etsy as her pieces have made front page numerous times and been a part of etsy’s gift guides too. She creates some adorable pieces and in quite unique ways. I specifically love her wool felt heart rings! Thanks for bringing her into the spotlight and spreading the word about needle felting as an art form! Nice work!

Excellent link and suggestion! Do sign up for the newsletter. This is where I picked up the great tip about ceramic Felting Stones, which only cost $10 and can change a felter’s life forever…..by cutting down on all that manual labor.
Shalana is one busy and inspirational artisan and I love her energy.
