Felted art by Lana De Flor

February 12, 2009 by Linda Lanese

A bright talent from my neck of the woods, Wooster, Ohio!  My daughter who lives in Smithville, Ohio not far from Debora Galaz was browsing through ETSY shops and found Lana De Flor’s shop and called me to rave about her felting art.  I went to take a look and was really impressed with everything I found in her shop. This young lady is an amazing talent! The items she creates are so alluring and feminine.  Many of her follows look like they have just been picked from the garden, as they are so lifelike. Deborah can take wool roving and turn it into a marvelous work of art.  I hope everyone gets a chance to visit her shop and see some of her other beautiful work on Flickr and leave her some comments when you visit!

Deborah’s profile:

Wool is my thing!!! I can’t stop. I’m always thinking of future projects that can make me a better felter. Other than felting I spend my days caring for my two kids, a 3 year old and a 6 month old. Together with my awesome husband we care for our small farm, we grow vegetables for the market and we also have a small flock of chickens that seem to require more work than the kids, but we love it all!!!!

I’m trying to reach Lana de Flor to purchase an item that was at the Wooster Fiber Fair recently. I did buy one of them but would like more. Please let me know how to contact her by phone or e-mail. Thanks.
