Nikola went to the farm to see the animals up close, but she so a group of women making fuzzy hats and poking crazy needles into the fluffy pieces of fiber. She relates that she almost knocked everyone over to get a closer look at the women and what they were making. From that time she was hooked on felting. She was fascinated with all the things you could make with wool fiber hot water and a little soap. Poke it with needles and within minutes you have a wonderful piece of art. Well it was almost enough to make her want to devote her life to exploring felt. She had always been part of the Indie-crafts movement, but into more traditional crafting until she discovered that you could make felt items with a funky urban twist that would knock people socks off. While I know logically that comment number one has just as much a chance in a random number drawing as any other, I still find myself shying away from it. How weird. Perhaps someone else will comment whilst I’m writing.
Felt is one of those materials I’ve toyed with, dreamed about, but ultimately never pushed myself into headfirst as I should. What you’ve said and what I’ve seen of this book, however, makes me thing it could be the shove I need.

I’ve sewn Christmas ornaments with already made commercial felt, and they were well received by people. Yet I’ve never done any actual felting myself, although one of my fellow crafters SWEARS by wet felting fibers into rugs. I’m intrigued by the idea of wet felting – anything involving water should be fun!

I love working with felt – it is such wonderful textile with so much opportunity for creativity and the element of surprise as it is transformed. I have made some felt from fleece and sewn Waldorf/Steiner toys/crafts with woolen felt and always gets lots of oohs and ahhs from children and adults. I can see from the cover and title that Nikola is sharing something unique and I am intrigued to find out where her creativity has led her and what I could do too.
You’ve made the book sound perfect and, as others have noted, the cover looks wonderful. I’d love to be able to create works of art like that.
All the felting directions I’ve seen are for cute little animals or country style home decor. I would love to use felting to make something fun and interesting to wear. the idea of felting earrings is especially cool, because I love big earrings, but my ears don’t like the weight. Felt earrings would be awesome!

I am a spinner and always end up with little leftover pieces of wool. I think felting would be an awesome way to use the little leftover bits to make something fun!

I have always enjoyed using felt in Christmas and other seasonal projects. I would love to learn how to do wool felting to make penny rugs, and jewelry, or ornaments to decorate my house. I have always used kits with pre-felted wool for penny rugs and holiday wall decorations. The craft of using felting more sounds very interesting to me. This book would make learning new techniques for felting more challenging!

Both my teenage daughters needle felt and love it. There aren’t a whole lot of books available on the subject, or wet felting, so all new books intrigue me!

I love the coziness and plasticity of felt, and I’m highly intrigued by this book because it looks to have modern, design-oriented projects that put a sophisticated twist on a traditional craft.
I have fulled knitted and crocheted items. But I felt anything else was beyond me. The books says for beginners. That intrigues me cause that is me and I am interested in doing this.
I am always starting any new craft that I find. I have been googling felting for some time now and find it to be very interesting. Another fun craft to put under my belt. I do beading, knitting, crocheting, scrapbookin,just about anything that allows me to be creative and express myself. Though I have been a knitter for years, only a couple of years ago did I discover felting my knitted projects. I now felt wool sweaters to make purses, have a machine embellisher/felter which I use for embellishing all sorts of things, and am totally intrigued by wet felting. I can’t wait to see what this book has to offer on all the many facets of felting!

This book seems like it would be a good combo book of all things felt. It looks like a book I would pick up because the cover shows different types of felt projects. The necklace on the front looks very nifty with how they used like a line. I normaly buy book who have about 3-4 patterns in it , so far from what I have seen there are at least three that look like I would want to do. I find the whole process of felting intriging. At the moment Needle felting is my passion but the wet felted scarf on the cover looks beauiftul to where I might try and make it.
My grandaughter does a lot of needlefelting and she’d like this book a lot.
