“My life under the bus”, the humorous journey of parenting, crafting and living under the bus is holding a contest called “Felt Smack Down 2010”.  I am trying to get the publisher to offer a copy of the book Felt Wee Folk to Craft Gossip Felting as a giveaway.   From Patty “My life under the bus”: Ok – I don’t know if “felt” and “smack down” even belong in the same sentence except I thought it was catchy ! I apologize to all the peaceful little Waldorf dolls out there. It is time for my first challenge and I think it’s going to be fun! Make sure you read all the way down to spot my *Guest Judge* The premise of the challenge is to make something based on the Felt Wee Folk book by Salley Mavor . In order to be a part of the challenge we will have some rules you’ll need to follow: For this contest you can go to Salley Mavor blog and there are many pages from her book for you to get ideas from.  First go over to “My life under the bus” for all the contest rules.  . From the author: Word just in that Patty from My life under the bus has announced a Felt Smack Down 2010 “Challenge Alert”. The premise of the challenge is to make something based on my Felt Wee Folk book. Please visit her blog to find out details and to let her know if you are interested in participating, since she’s limiting the number of submissions. Patty has asked me to judge the projects, which really sounds like fun. This is giving me the idea of offering some kind of contest myself in the future.

As a matter of fact, in wet felting, as you know, the felt gets smacked around pretty strenuously sometimes during the fulling process to bind the fibers to one another! I like the name “Smack Down” and the concept! Now, off to Sally’s blog to read the rules! Happy New Felting Year to all!
