Pay-it-forward giveaway! Adeline-Black French Style Beret- From Pure Wool-With Hand Felted Red Rose Brooch

Susanna and Lily of Crafts2Cherish ETSY shop based in Dublin, Ireland is offering us this stunning Adeline-Black French Style Beret made from pure wool-with hand felted red Rose brooch a priceless work of art for this first pay-it-forward giveaway. They are textile artists, working primarily in felt making. Felted wool fabric is one of the most ancient textiles. Their entire collection is created using the highest quality of natural and sustainable materials. They use a variety of raw wools which are selected for their felting characteristics, texture and wear ability. They are hand-dyed and hand carded by them to provide a wide palette range, and then hand-felted by layering and building up color and texture to achieve a soft and flexible felted item. All things are one of a kind and handmade with great care and attention to detail.

Hopefully, this giveaway will inspire everyone that enters to do one little deed today to help someone- a loved one, a neighbor, a co-worker, or some online that has touched your heart. Try to make a habit out of it- just one tiny gesture each day. If everyone did this, imagine the effect on the entire world. It’s amazing to think about the possible results.   1. I would love to share the deep red flowered brooch with my friend “G”. She has had a difficult time recently (getting a divorce, her beloved kitty died 3 weeks ago, financial difficulties. I think this lovely flower would be perfect to help cheer her up and remind her of friends who love her no matter what.

  2. Let me be first. I would love this for my daughter who is living in France for the year on a very very limited budget and has been lusting after a beret. She would look beautiful in this one and red has always been her favorite color, even when all the other little girls loved pink.

    I utterly love the felted bags, all of them, but especially the round green one. Just fabulous!

  4. I am totally in love with the Audrey bag. The vintage flowers and beads totally make it! I love it!

    I have a wonderful friend who, in the last three years has experienced a divorce, a miscarriage, and a layoff. Although she has a graduate degree, the terrible economy has kept her having to temp while job hunting for about two years. She’s had a really hard time with all of this, and finally checked herself into the hospital to treat the depression that she rightly suffers because of all of this hardship. However, I admire her so much because, even through all of this, she’s kept going even when she thought she couldn’t, and she’s refused to give up all hope even when it seemed like she didn’t have enough strength to keep hoping. And what little she still has she gives freely to others that she thinks need help even more than she. I make her sound like a saint, and she’s certainly not, but she’s risen to the occasion with grace and dignity when it seemed impossible to do. I would love to give her this beautiful hat to show her how special I think she is.

  5. There are so many GORGEOUS things in the shop! The Flower Brooches reminded me of a dear friend who has recently lost a baby through a miscarriage. She is a lovely person and I know the past couple of months have been difficult as a result of the loss; she is so excited to be a parent and, though her dream has been put on hold, I know she will a wonderful mother. I would choose a big and colorful flower brooch for her because it would be bright, happy, and a treat she would not necessarily buy for herself even though she deserves to be spoiled.

    I would love to win this beret for my wife who has been taking care of her aging mother who is becoming very forgetful, a 22 year old daughter, working full time at a very demanding job, and trying to deal with her own very serious health problems.

    I want to win this beret for my Mom. She’s had cancer and chemo, and though her hair has grown back, it is now very sparse and she is very self-conscious about it. I’d love to give her this beret to let her cover her head with flair.

This hat is lovely~ I would love to see this beautiful hat on my friend, she is so giving to everyone else, taking care of her aging and ill parents, working full time to support herself, she had a terrible divorce in which her husband cheated on her for years, she still loves him so much, but cannot ever be with him again, she has two beautiful daughters and one son with him, that she did an amazing job raising, without giving them any bad feelings about their father, despite what he did to her. I am blessed to have her as my friend.   11. I luv the Luisa Light Grey Hand Warmers with White Hand felted Roses. I would give them to my baby sister who lives in NC and will surely make good use of them. She had just found out that she has MS when her husband had a heart attack which required 4 by-passes. She is trying to work, deal with her MS & take care of her recuperating husband. These are something that would bring a smile to her face & bring some joy into her not so joyful life.

  12. WOW! I love the beret! Both it and the red rose necklace (with leaves – so gorgeous!) would be stunning on my friend D. She is brilliant, so sweet, and and the wisest young person I have ever known. She has been a huge part of our lives (my husband and I) and we hate leaving her behind but are about to move cross-country. Her job is causing her some problem, too, and she could really use a little sunshine in her life!

    If I won this, it would be for my sister who has had one medical problem after another. Basically when she licks one cancer, along comes another, but she doesn’t give up and quit!

  15. 1st, your items are incredibly lovely. What fun to choose among them! I would like the Morrocan Mint felted necklace. My daughter loves one of a kind items. She is the most giving person I have ever known. Her business is an interior design firm and event planning. The economy has slowed business very much. So she has been donating time to charities and doing fund raising with her event planning abilities. This is the the 3rd this year and is for the SPCA. Megan’s heart is so big she often forgets there are only 24 hours in a day. Friends always know where a helping hand is to be found. She rarely gets recognition and I think she would be honored/.

    If I won the beret, I would give it to my daughter who is struggling with breast cancer but never complains, and is there to help everyone else (like me) when we need help. It would be so nice if someone did something lovely for her.

  21. I found several things I am lusting for, gee thanks! I finally picked Lara -Green Shoulder Bag-Hand Felted From Wool-With Yellow and Orange Flowers as my number 1 choice.

    I would love for one of my mosaic students to have the felted hat. She is struggling with cancer for the second time. Her sister and daughter are also students and we are now making mosaics that matter, little mosaic jars that we are donating to the local cancer center. It helps both us and the cancer patients have hope.

    The flowers remind me of my mom, who passed in October (cancer & alzheimers) 2 diseases with absolutely no consience!!

    My grandmother painted flowers and mom and I would spend time looking at grandma’s paintings and loving the colours and how the flowers brought the paintings to life!

    I would give the beret to my dear friend who has 2 babies and inflammatory breast cancer. I’m a breast cancer survivor myself, and know just how horrible it is, but inflammatory breast cancer is in a league all its own, and hers was misdiagnosed since she was still nursing and they thought it was just a clogged milk duct and kept telling her to stop worrying and complaining. It’s heartbreaking and I’d love to give her something amazing like the beret.

    If I were to win this beret, I would send it to my sister who is very, very missed. She lives abroad and I haven’t seen her in years, which really saddens me. She’s also been having a miserable time lately since she just broke up with her boyfriend of 3 years and feels really lonely without any family there. I think a gorgeous beret like this would really cheer her up. Plus, she’s so fashion forward and she would look wonderful in this. I’m sure it would bring a huge smile to her face, especially if I were to surprise her!

  34. It’s a toss up between this black beret and the White Beret with felted flower brooch. I know exactly who to give this to–my little sister and Maid of Honor at my wedding this August. She is a happy light to everyone who knows her and she is a very giving and caring soul. She has been such a Godsend for me during this crazy journey called wedding planning.   37. I love the Adeline black felted beret with the red felted flower brooch; it would cheer up my friend Pam, who has had a troubling year. First she broke her shoulder and has had to go through a difficult recovery. With the downturn economy, she lives on limited funds, but is expected to shuttle and support other family members who depend on her for help with their health. Her father passed last month, and her shoulder isn’t mending as well as expected; she thinks they may have to break it and reset it so she can get full movement back in the joint.
