LIVING FELT 1st Annual International Felting Contest

June 5, 2010 by Linda Lanese

Enter your felted doll or Alice in Wonderland themed piece for a chance to win up to $250 in prizes! Our monthly challenges always support fun & felting of all levels, with prizes being given by random drawing. This year, for the first time ever, LIVING FELT is holding a felting challenge that promotes quality in craftsmanship, creativity and the uniqueness of self-expression based on particular themes.  This year’s “theme” category is: ALICE IN WONDERLAND. There is so much you can do within this theme! You entry can be 2D or 3D, wet felted and/or needle felted. There are no restrictions on the method of felting, the shape or the size. Both the Doll & the Alice in Wonderland Categories have a 1st Place of $250 worth of felting supplies plus additional prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. Yes…you can use any of our doll kits because they are not patterns, but tools that teach you the process of sculpting wool creating dolls. Each one is truly one of a kind. You are not required to use a Living Felt kit to enter the contest.  In all we’ll be giving away approximately $1,000 in felting supplies….just for acting on your Inspired Ideas! To share this contest with your online groups and felting friends, simply point them to this page on our website.
