October 10, 2011 by Linda Lanese

What an amazing group of felters from their smashing designs to their tutorials which are so clear-cut and ready for us to follow.  Each project is so creative and they make each tutorial completely understandable.  Today’s projects are listed below: 1. Learn how to make a felted wool flower brooch. Dress up any outfit from a jean jacket to a party dress with you own version of this brooch.

2. What a statement you would make wearing this fun coat scarf over your finest dress or add a touch of drama to your sweater and jeans.  This tutorial is by Galafilc; be sure to check out her other fabulous designs.

3. This tutorial is by Tonya Utkina on how to color dye felting wool with Kool-Aid.  Tonya tells us: “I suggest we start with a few bright colors like red for cherry flavored Kool-Aid, yellow for Lemon and orange for Orange and a few felted beads of medium size. To read more about the process of creating felted wool acorns please refer to my post on How to make felted wool acorns”.  Follow Tonya Utkina on Facebook to keep up with her projects. Check out her darling acorn wind chimes pictured.
