One more for Halloween? Needle and wet felted Deer Antlers to Wear!

October 3, 2021 by Liza Adams

Have you been given the task to create a costume for your little one this year?  Or perhaps you not so little one!  While this project is for deer antlers, once you have learned the tips and tricks I’m sure you will see there are so many other things you can make using these processes!

This might be just the finishing touch to that outfit you have been needing.  You could go more simple but certainly you could go more fabulous as well!  Because you can buy fibre in so many different colours these days you have so many options for costume ideas!  You can get online and search for costume ideas, then adapt to be made using fibre and needles!

The antlers in this project are needle felted over pipecleaners, quite a few pipecleaners actually!  🙂  And then the ears are wet felted.  So once you get the idea of using all these mediums together the sky is the limit!

Visit:

Magic Trout Imaginarium

and follow along with their very thorough video right there on the website.

This website is a work in progress, they have a bunch of other things in the works so do keep coming back to see what is new.  I can see big things for the future of this big thinking, fibre wrangling, project designing felter! 🙂

I hope you will have a wonderful Halloween this year, what ever you end up doing!  🙂

Happy felting!
