Needle Felted Duckling, for the advanced Felter!

September 29, 2021 by Liza Adams

I’ve actually been finding lately that it’s not that easy to find tutorials for those of us who have been felting for a while and want to take it up a notch.  There are plenty of ‘how to get started’ and the basics when it comes to tutorials, videos, books etc.  But not so much for people looking to hone or improve their craft.  So I decided to have a bit of a hunt around for you and found this stunning series of videos from Sarafina Fiber Art.

This is a great Website with Full Tutorial   there are 3 videos that take you from start to finish.

Needle Felting a Duckling 3: Fluffing and Finishing - YouTube | Needle felting, Needle felting tutorials, Fluff

Create a stunning little duckling created over wire with the most awesome little webbed feet.  Working with wire can be a bit intimidating, as can getting realistic shapes and proportions so I felt this tutorial really gave those of us looking to upskill some vital information.

No photo description available.

This photo shows a duckling completed by a student so you can see it really is possible to make this little fellow following along with these instructions.

You can actually buy supplies from the website too if you live in the postal region so check out the store.  This is a reputable source so you can buy with confidence as they have a great reputation.

So if you were looking for your next project I think you might have found it! 🙂  If this one doesn’t speak to you check out the rest of the website, there are many instructions for all sorts of creations and at different levels of ability!

If you’ve been felting for a while I’m sure you’ve heard of Sarafina already, but perhaps you hadn’t come across the website before, it’s a great resource so I hope you enjoy checking it out!

Happy Felting!
