Stripy Christmas Stockings! Bright and effective fun for all.

November 22, 2021 by Liza Adams

DIY Felted Stripe Christmas Stockings

Had a go at wet felting and found it wasn’t for you?  Well you’re in luck if you want to create something that looks wet felted but isn’t!  These striking stockings are actually needle felted!  This awesome project shows you how!  After much trial and error the crafty woman behind this project came up with a fool proof way to create a well made stocking that will last you years, be unique but also isn’t super hard to make!

All you need is a little needle felting know how and a little sewing know how!  Feel like you want to know how now? 😉

DIY Felted Stripe Christmas Stockings

I just love the little embellishments Kelly adds to her stockings, like the one above!  The bright teal colour really pops!  Be inspired to add something unique to yours for friends and family!  Personalise them to make unique gifts!

These felted and sewn projects bring the best of both worlds together so you can really get designing!  Don’t want stripes?  You can needle felt pretty much anything onto the stocking before sewing it up!  Put names or initials, Santa or his Elves, Holly or baubles!  The possibilities are endless!  This webpage provides you with an awesome pattern you can use again and again!  Here’s the link to the page again:  Studio DIY

Get online and search for inspiration, you could even draw them onto the fabric and fill it in with fibre!  Use a coloured fabric for the base!  Or a patterned one!  Once you get going you will have so many ideas!  I think you could even make these on some of Grandads old flannel shirts!  Or how about his cringey Christmas themed ones? 🙂

Happy felting!
