Needle Felted Mouse Ornament! A step by step real time tutorial!

November 24, 2021 by Liza Adams

Needle Felt Christmas Ornaments - Needle Felt Mouse - Beginner Needle Felting - YouTube

Here’s another quick tutorial for you that takes you from basics to done in just an hour!  Marie Spaulding has done it again with this easy to follow lesson which has been around for a while, but sometimes the older projects disappear a bit and we end up not coming across them unless someone (ahem, me) points them out to us!

Of course with a video tutorial you can pause, go forward or stop and come back later!  So handy!

Marie takes you through the steps with tips and tricks for the beginner or intermediate felter!  Among other things you will learn to work with commercial felt as well as pipe cleaners with this project.

Felted mice are really popular outside of Christmas too, so learning the techniques here will mean you can create little mice for any time of year!  Check out pinterest for inspiration!  I found these little guys hanging out there!

You can see they are made in a very similar style so take inspiration from those you find images of, put the elements together that you like and create your own unique mice!  Once you’ve made a few you can refine your process, add other mediums like the fine polymer ears above, add accessories like clothing and coffee mugs!  Make a whole little mousy family!

Happy Felting!
