Winter Wonderland! How to felt a winter scene!

January 19, 2022 by Liza Adams

Felted Sky - Winter Snow Needle Felting Kit - Fibrecraft

Is it getting chilly where you are?  How about making something cozy and warm that represents something cold and snowy? 🙂

I’ve got a wonderful video tutorial for you today, Felted Sky Studio has created some gorgeous felting kits and not only that, they give you a complete, real time, tutorial so that you can make a gorgeous snowy scene like this whether you have a kit or not!

I’m sure you have a stash of fibres and supplies just waiting for a project like this one, or if you don’t then you know where to get the kits!

With a project like this you are essentially painting with wool and this is a wonderful composition for you  to work with as a beginner or even a more advanced felter.  The results are really effective but the skill level isn’t so high, it’s just some simple tips and tricks to get you there.  If you are a more experienced felter I’m sure you can add your own spin on this one but I just loved it as it is!

You’ll learn something new (I learned about drafting!) experiment with colours in ways you might not have thought to before (I loved how they did the sky and lake) and learn how to compose this wonderful winter landscape!

If you do need a kit you will find them at this link here.

I hope you will enjoy watching this tutorial and picking up some new tricks for your favourite craft!

Happy felting!
