Wet Felting a 3d Bunny! Full tutorial for the more advanced wet felter!

April 25, 2022 by Liza Adams

This week I wanted to find a wet felting tutorial that created something other than a piece of flat felt!  There are so many beginner tutorials with the basics of wet felting but not all that many that either teach the next level or how to make something fun with your wet felting!  I’m going to make it my focus over the next few months to bring you fun wet felting projects and keep you inspired and enjoying your craft!

This tutorial is labeled as an advanced project so it’s certainly not the best idea for your first try at wet felting, but if you haven’t tried to wet felt before and this inspires you, please look through our blog for full instructions on getting started and try something basic for your first one.  Then come back to this fun bunny once you have had a go already.

Once you understand the basics and have a good feel for your fibre I’m sure you will be very successful with this project.

I found this one tucked away over on House Inside Out’s blog and it’s from quite some time ago so maybe this little project was lost in the crazy world of the internet for a while!  I’m so excited to bring you this one and have it inspire felters again with it’s quirky results!

This tutorial is done over 2 blog posts but I have put the links for both of them here for you so you don’t loose the second one!

Click here for the link to part one!  Here you will find most of the instructions and do all the wet felting.

This is the link to part 2 of the bunny project.  The second part is much shorter than the first and is essentially just finishing it off!  You’ll just love the results.

I do hope you enjoy this project

Happy Felting.
