Prefelted wool using green, blue, and purple merino roving and silk top

Wet felting has so many uses, and incorporating it into other crafts can be fun, experimental and problem solving to name just a few reasons for making your own wool ‘fabric’.  With Prefelt you are wet felting to perhaps half way through the process, so that the resulting fabric can be further used in other applications , techniques or projects.

Over at Fibrecurious, they have created this very thorough explanation and tutorial on prefelt for you to learn from and enjoy.  You can learn more about what prefelt is and how it can be used along with a great step by step to create the piece shown above.
