Birgitte Krag Hansen lives in Denmark.  She is a teacher by training in art, craft and psychology as specialties. She has worked with felt for 32 years and has developed several new felt techniques including the soft sculptural technique and the relief technique.
She has worked for three theatres and for the Danish TV (set design and dolls) Birgitte teaches courses in Denmark and abroad and has travelled extensively both as a teacher, and to participate in workshops, and attends international felt symposiums.
She has taugh felting to women in South Greenland teaching them how to use their wool to make felted souvenirs for the tourists, and she has made Felt in Nature projects in Norway and Denmark.
Her book “FILT I FORM” (Felt in Form) was published in 1992.  The book was reprinted in 1998 and is now out-of-print.  Her second book, “SKULPTUREL FILTNING” (Sculptural Felting), was published in 1999 and is now out-of-print.  My third book “NY FILT MED FILTENALEN” was published autumn 2003 (English edition “NEW FELT USING THE FELT NEEDLE” published spring 2004) and her latest book “NISSEFILT” published 2004 (English edition PIXIE FELT published 2005.  A few of Birgitte’s books like “New Felt” can be found at Amazon; otherwise you will have to buy her latest book off her site.  If you live in Denmark I am sure they will be easy to acquire.
Birgitte’s site is loaded with pictures of felted caricatures some are X rated nudes :)  These little cuties are worth a look see.   She also offers online felting courses which looks like fun.
